ThousandKernel ("the app," "we," "us") is a tool for counting seeds and calculating thousand kernel weight and seeding rate. We built this app with privacy as the default: it works entirely on your device and does not collect your personal information.
None. ThousandKernel does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or any personal details, and does not track you. The only information we ever receive is what you choose to send us directly by email — see “If you contact us” below.
The app uses your camera and photo library only to take or select photos of seed samples for counting. These photos are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server, and are not shared with us or any third party.
All seed counting and calculations happen locally on your device. No image or calculation data leaves your phone.
Any tests you choose to save, and your app preferences, are stored only on your device. You can delete them at any time within the app or by uninstalling it.
If you email us — for example to report a problem, or to send sample photos so we can improve counting accuracy — we receive whatever you choose to send, including your email address and any attachments. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, which may include using photos you send as training data for future versions of the seed detection model. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing support@thousandkernel.com.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
If you download the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms may collect certain information (such as crash reports or download statistics) under their own privacy policies. That collection is governed by Apple and Google, not by us.
The app is intended for general agricultural use and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
